I attended a severe rat infestation today in a property where the tenant had previously used a local council to try and rid the property of pests. Attention to detail is something that I pride myself on, unfortunately not all pest controllers are the same. In the pictures below you can see expanding foam has been sprayed just everywhere apart from where the rats were entering. Even if the foam had been placed in the correct place it's likely the rodents would have just chewed through it. The whole has now been sealed with stainless steel wire mesh and the external entry point that had previously not been identified was repaired by using quick drying mortar. The relief on the tenants face after the work was completed is what makes my job so rewarding.
