Trusted Retaining Wall Contractors in High Wycombe

The typical Bow Tie Construction project takes an existing low-performance building, restoring and refurbishing it to the highest standards of comfort and energy performance. Say hello to our Bounds Green project. The project that does exactly that. nnIn a nutshell, this was a sensitive low-energy refurbishment of a conservation area shopfront and home behind with a two storey extension and loft conversion. We were working under strict planning conditions to retain the original look.nnThe property had a very rotten roof in poor condition with rotten joists. We installed a new roof structure and floor joists using Easi-joists. We installed new floors throughout the building and fitted new bathrooms. The attic was converted into a loft studio.nnThe entire heating and plumbing system was overhauled. Underfloor heating was installed on the whole ground floor and radiators on the upper floors. An MVHR system was installed providing constant fresh warm air to every room. The heating, lighting and MVHR systems are controlled by a Loxone smart home system. New triple glazed windows were installed throughout.nnTo the rear we constructed a two storey timber frame extension insulated with Icynene. It includes a very large new kitchen with huge sliding doors to the garden. The second floor of the extension comprises a bedroom and bathroom.nnAll because of that, the building now has near passive levels of insulation, airtightness and heat demand! nn#passivhaus #passivehouse #architecture #lowenergyrefurbishment #conservationarea...
