What facilities are available?

Toilets and baby changing facilities are available in the Gardens. A range of refreshments are also here to enjoy in the Applestore Tearoom and the Coffee Room.

Do Historic Houses members get free entry?

Yes on our usual open days*, unless you are part of a larger pre-booked group. See the group visits question to find out more. *Historic House members do not get free entry to any special events.

Are dogs allowed in the Walled Gardens?

Assistance dogs are the only dogs allowed in to the Walled Gardens during opening hours. If you are staying in a Holiday Cottage, you can bring a dog in on a lead when the Gardens are closed to general visitors.

What is access like in the Walled Gardens?

We have made every effort to make our paths as accessible as possible. However, steep slopes and woodchip surfaces may mean some access points are less accessible.

Can I take professional photographs in the Walled Gardens?

Yes, professional photography is permitted with prior consent from the owners. A fee will apply. Photographs taken in the Gardens may not be sold or used for any commercial or promotional purpose without permission. Find out more about photoshoots and filming. Personal photography is, of course, allowed and welcomed.
