David and Laura did a fantastic job on this fitting for a very happy customer in Luton. They installed the following over two days in order to create safe and easy access into and around the loft. nn⭐WOODEN LOFT LADDERnThe Wooden Ladders are a very popular ladder for a number of reasons, some of which are stated below: n⭐ They have the wide wooden treads which makes if feel more sturdy when climbing the ladder. n⭐ When folded into the loft the ladder sits on top of the hatch which means that it doesn't take up any additional storage space in the loft. n⭐ As the hatch is lowered the ladder lowers with it bringing it down to a more accessible height in order to fully extend it to the floor and vice versa when raising it back into the loft. n⭐ The hatch is insulated and sealed of which helps with the homes energy efficiency. n⭐ The Wooden Ladder is installed with a handrail of which gives aid when climbing the ladder.nn⭐BOARDINGnThe Boarding is a great way of utilizing the loft's previously unusable space into a great area to store items on of which is also safe to walk on. The boarding is installed in lines (rather than staggered), they are installed on top of the timbers of which are set out for the boarding to be laid in lines. This also helps should the customer need to get below the boarding they can raise approximately 5 boards rather than all of the boarding if it was to be staggered. nn⭐TIMBERS nThe boarding has been raised on timers for a number of reasons:n⭐ The timbers are installed at 90 degrees to the existing joists of which helps spread the weight of anything stored on the boards and whilst walking across the boarded area. This also helps to prevent any cracking of the ceiling below.n⭐ The timbers raise the boards high enough in order to give the insulation below room to breathe and to stop any compression.n nWell done team.
